Thankful Thursday

“…he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.”

Psalms 23:3

A Manic Monday, a Tidbit Tuesday, and a Wordless Wednesday? Where did the week go? Today, a thankful Thursday!  Rain and renewal, good times and grace. A ballfield and beliefs-a Farmer’s Market and Fair. How can I not be thankful?

Just like the rain, the memories soak me.

“The farmer is the only man in our economy who buys everything at retail, sells everything at wholesale, and pays freight both ways.”

John F. Kennedy

Farmer’s Markets are the jam. Downtowns and courthouses. Local meat and munchies. Homegrown vegetables and other varieties. Families mingle through the booths and admire the talents of locals. It was a perfect way to start a Saturday! Do you love farmer’s markets? From there we drove to the pet shop. Owned by a couple, the matching log buildings hosted many critters, and the fish were waiting! So was a TINY African frog. He was too cute to refuse! It was time to go back with our Farmer’s Market find and fish! One guppie, two guppies, …NO puppies…and an itsy-bitsy frog named Statue (I love the minds of 3-year-olds—particularly THIS one).

Love is the most important thing in the world, but baseball is pretty good, too.

Yogi Berra

“Can you tell us the best way to get to the early bird ticket gate?” I asked. “Jump in, I’ll take you there.” The thoughtful man drove us right to the gate! We were dropped off like celebrities only to find out that ONE ticket was the early bird. How did WE get to the front so fast? I smiled. High humidity didn’t spoil the fun. The Cardinals vs. the Royals—a Missouri split. My mind drifted to divisions in our state during the Civil War. The smells, sites, and sounds quickly reset my brain. Mizzou music, cheers, food, drinks, and the crack of the bat-time ran as fast as sweat. With BIG claps to God (and some for the Cardinals 😉), I made it to the 7th inning stretch. “Take me out to the Ballgame” echoed through the stadium. Hmm., I thought to myself, “I wonder what it would sound like if we all sang “Amazing Grace!” I imagined J.C. himself up to bat, of course, a homerun would be hit and the whole stadium would be awed. Quickly, I was “reset” to reality. All while smiling about my thoughts (and admiring the cutie sitting next to me).

Charlotte,” said Wilbur. “We’re all going home today. The Fair is almost over. Won’t it be wonderful to be back home in the barn cellar again with the sheep and the geese? Aren’t you anxious to get home?”

E.B. White–Charlotte’s Web

It started lightly. Surely it wouldn’t be crowded with rain in the forecast. The wet became wetter. With appropriate “gear,” we maneuvered to the Midway. Aww, the smell of the cow manure and the pigs hit me before the corn dogs and cotton candy. Where was MY mind? Of course, I thought of Charlotte’s Web, looking for wordy webs in the corners of the muddy stalls. Mesmerized, I watched her giggle when the rare deer bit her raincoat. The smiles on all their faces became my sunshine.  The zebra was a great sign—but there were mixed feelings about it being there. I whispered, “Thank you and I’m sorry” as I left to see the baby goats. The little train, my perfect little partner and her parents, the Ferris Wheel, and the carousel. Faith at the fair.

Her fearlessness as she sat in the race car going ’round and ’round reminded me of faith like a child. Through the mud, heavy rain, and the ride home all I could muster was, “Thank you, God.”  Just like I’ve written before, everything seemed more than ordinary miracles.

Do you feel thankful? Are your thoughts thwarted by threats? Perhaps you can’t FEEL thoughtful if life seems loose. Would more money make you thankful? A better job? A different living situation? Better health? Many things can threaten our thankfulness. But for me, now…

…my fear is fading with faithful prayers. Comfort is created through calm and collected. Rationality is realized with resiliency and reminders.  It’s not easy; sometimes a high price is paid. Yet, I know, the ultimate price has ALREADY BEEN PAID. Do you believe better things are coming? Are you hanging by a thread or jumping with joy? Are you dreading your days or dreaming of differences? Can you let go of perfection and paddle with the possibilities? Will you close the chapter that continues to choke? Will you manifest the maturity that matters? What is distracting a divine direction?

Friends, looking forward to adventures, near or far, gives me hope between appointments and treatments. This past weekend I was able to visit my youngest son and his family. Those who know me understand my need to “hit the road” to see them all.  Truly, your prayers propel my persistence. The timing always works because I’m completely and utterly dependent on God. I’m using wisdom to walk and reality to rest. Future trips are planned, and miracles are working in the background. In the meantime, I have upcoming tests and a possible breakthrough! Excitement is building in me faster than these tricky tumors.

For me, it’s God or nothing. All else fails. I can’t help but be thankful.

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe.” ~ Proverbs 18:10

Have faith 💚

  1. Great words, Karla. Great work. A great outing, and hopefully, more great news. There must be a great God in the background on this story. And in the foreground. Maybe kinda everywhere in it! Many a tale to tell on this thankful Thursday!

God does bless. Get good rest. All the best to you and Finley.

    1. Thank you, my dear friend! Your support, wisdom on your walk (and the waves and words to Finnster and me), the prayers, the books,…all of it, Tim, is helping me grow! HE IS in the background, foreground…all around! I’m praying for Jackson (how is he doing?) and Rascal and always for you in your daily work! We will rest and be blessed! 🙏

  2. You have had a beautiful day Karla, touching so much of us all together in those markets, the game, and even the deer with the animals. And an amazing thing, I looked at your picture out of your windscreen looking up the highway…and it moved…like I was actually traveling along it with you. I was amazed. Maybe my turn for a little traveling, even if in heart and mind dear lady. This post was a great share my friend, it took me out and about beautifully. And for that I thank you. Gave me hope in hearing of the hope for you in ‘your’ journey. I hope it all goes well, lots of love and light coming at you and Finn for that path. Oh, and the man playing his guitar outside the courthouse…I think it would calm my heart too if I was inside facing the judge. A great idea, should be a law 🤣 Have a great day kind lady, many smiles coming at you both 😀❤️🙏

    1. Mark, thank you so much! I’m so glad you were “with” us on the short trip loaded with memories. I’m struggling with the website (for some reason blocks have changed, certain blocks won’t work properly, “auto saving” gets “stuck”….all these things make for patience and time)! So it thrills me it turns out readable and better yet, understandable! You get it! I was laughing out loud about the guitar man. He had a wonderful voice! My music style is so eclectic ~I was imagining him singing Folsom Prison Blued and for sure, it would be perfect prior to facing a judge! Think of the song list we could come up with?! 🤭🤪🎶 I’m so happy you had smiles and dreams of travel. Finn and I feel the love and prayers and place them in a bottle for you to pick up on the coast! Ok, you don’t have to wait~we’ll send it now!🐾💕🤗

      1. It is received beautifully Karla, thank you. But I will keep my eyes out on the beach for any messages in a bottle, more fun that way for sure…and a great excuse for a beach walk 🤣 And I can imagine the song list for those moment we do a court visit. I’ve only had one…just to get my birth certificate…which was wrong. They apparently had a fire in the courthouse so always kept records off site in another town…and copied my birth date down on a day later than my birthdate. So after years of using my proper birth date they, as in business’s, got all security conscious and required proof and all that stuff, so I go get my proof at the courthouse…which was wrong. There was miles of paperwork to fix ‘their’ mistake. They wanted me to prove I was born when I was. So I rocked up to the hospital to get a copy of their records and behold, they destroy records after 10 years. In the end I gave up, it was just running after my tail so I kept the ‘wrong’ date of birth after that. God knows when I arrived, I am the ‘ticket to ride’…hmmmm, isn’t that a song 🤣
And yes about website problems, it seems to be an electronic meltdown at the moment. I’ve lost my main site, it went down in a heap from some server problem yesterday and I have had nothing but hiccups with my wordpress site. So don’t panic if I suddenly drop offline, maybe I’m being told to go for a walk on the beach…every day 🤣 Spring is literally just around the corner so a little more sunshine has to be good for my health. Have a great day for you both, may it too be full of sunshine…but not too hot 🤣❤️🙏

      2. Yikes, Mark! Wait,…are you REALLY Mark? I need proof from your birth certificate and don’t give me the wrong age! Tee hee (you might be wanting to be wrong by years now! Ha!). I’m sorry to hear of website meltdown. I’ve had to chat with the “Happiness Engineers” for quite some time. I thought my computer was being hacked?! Surely it shouldn’t take so long to publish? Call me old-fashioned (do it, I like it!), but I want writing to be some effort. I don’t want to throw up a meme and type on my phone like it’s Instagram or Facebook, so something needs to give so our “blocks” and the platform work seamlessly since my words already need so much work! Hee hee. I can’t believe your site went down in a heap. You have the best attitude! That’s why I want to as well! I think I’ll walk the beaches of Australia, looking for bottles! Let’s go, Finn! 🤭🤭🤪💕💕

      3. Then I’ll be waiting on the beach for you both dear lady. I’ll be the funny guy talking to the dolphins 🤣❤️🙏

      4. Ha ha ha!! We’ll join in the conversation!!💕🤭🤭🙏🏻😆

  3. “ …my fear is fading with faithful prayers.” ❤️ So glad you had precious time with family. And I love farmers markets. 😊

    1. Kelley, thank you, my sweet friend. How are you? I think of your precious words when I view the pics in Hawaii. It’s been hard for me to want to “celebrate” or write. I think of your poem and the beautiful tree. I just wanted you to know how that touches me still. You understand what it’s like to say goodbye after a visit! I would’ve suspected you love farmers markets! Take care and continued prayers, always. 💛🙏🏻

      1. Thank you, Karla. I’ve been struggling myself. But I know it’s a season. And it will be ok. Praying for you!

      2. You’re welcome ☺️ I understand, my friend. It’s a season~that’s beautiful! I appreciate your prayers so much! 💛🙏🏻

  4. Amen. “For me, it’s God or nothing. All else fails. I can’t help but be thankful.’ Great post my friend.

    1. Thank you, Tangie! You’re such an amazing prayer and praise partner. I appreciate you so much. There such a freedom in accepting God’s love. It just makes everything worth it! 💕

  5. I’m thankful to the God that refreshes our souls and guides us along the right path and that the ultimate price has been paid. And I’m praying and believing in the miracles of possible breakthroughs, Karla! Much love, Dear Friend.

    1. How heartwarming and precious, Crystal. I know you believe and live the sane way. He refreshes and renews. I find no other way, friend. I can’t help it! Your love and prayers for this breakthrough are uplifting! I can’t wait to share what unfolds. I believe that for you too, Crystal. Much love my friend. 💕🙏🏻💓

      1. Thank you, Dear Karla! I have a big day of appointments on Monday. I appreciate you for believing in good news with me!!!
        🙏🏻💖🙏🏻

      2. You’re welcome, Crystal. I put that in my calendar!! I pray for outstanding outcomes! You’re an inspiration to me! Much love! Crystal, on Monday (or Tuesday at the latest, I’ll find out about a huge possibility for me~I will update everyone). Thank you for your positivity and prayers!💕💕🙏🏻

      3. I’ve got your news on my calendar, will be praying in between and checking in! Much love! ❤️

      4. Thank you, Crystal! I’ll be excited to share! XOXO! 💕

  6. You had a full day, Karla. I’m grateful for full days. Grateful like you for family reunions. Grateful too for Jesus who sees us through our trials; full steam ahead, Karla 🙂

    1. Full steam, John! You’re such a dear friend and I hate to say this, but partner in pain~we’re going through it together, although things are a bit different, we’re still living with gratitude and knowing WHO sees us through! We are a rare duo! And things are going to unfold for us! 🙏🏻😊

      1. yes !! you missed my story about Jesus meeting me in the middle of the air; that was a revelation, a confirmation of faith 🙂

      2. How did I miss that, John? I will try and find it tomorrow! My mind is mush! But I can’t wait! I’ve had experiences that were mine too, my friend~it’s so amazing! Please take care. I’ll look forward to reading! 💕🙏🏻

      3. 🙂 the post came out on August 13 called ‘In the Middle of the Air’; didn’t get much love ; but it’s my testimony; keep well, Karla, chug along 🙂

      4. I will LOVE IT HUGE! 💕Testimonies might bring a “cricket sound” response. But not for people like me, John! Our tests become our testimonies! Keep on keepin’ on, my friend! I’m in your corner! God has us! ☺️

  7. What a beautiful story swaddled in faith, hope and love. Karla, thank you for grabbing us up and inviting us along, I was right there with you, the sights, the sounds, the smells, and Charlotte’s Web. Family, children, grandchildren, umbilically connected, the one’s who pull us into their presence. I get it. I’m praying for that breakthrough, for your words to always populate this blog, and continue to sustain me. Much love and hugs, C

    1. C! Oh, I see you! Thank you (with tears about my words populating and sustaining) for swaddling me in love, hope, and encouragement. You’re always on the sidelines, big sis. Always. I’m so glad you were with me on this! Just as I travel with your family, the lake, and cabin. I love this: “Family, children, grandchildren, umbilically connected, the one’s who pull us into their presence.” It’s a gift. I don’t have to explain it~you already know. Thank you for taking my hand and going with me. I love you, C! 💕🙏🏻🥰

  8. Such a heartwarming post, Karla. I am so glad you are able to rise above it all and spend time with your family. Good for you! Loved the images you shared at the ball game and the Fair. Keep on keeping on! You can beat this! Praying all goes well with your treatments!

    1. Uncle Dwight, you’re always encouraging and cheering me on! I’ve missed reading your poetry and words, so I’m so happy to see you! Thank you for your kind comments~it doesn’t surprise me that you enjoyed the pics and activities! I’m no professional photographer, but it’s fun to use the images with the stories! I have to tell you that the man who mows my yard reminds me of you. He told me a few weeks ago, (looking me straight in the eye and his hand on my shoulder), “YOU are going to beat this. I just know it.” I stood there with a huge grin and said “If you and God say so, because I feel it too!” I’m still “hanging in the stall” for treatment. They’ve stopped shots and infusions~waiting for blood to keep climbing. Now, an ultrasound on Monday to check some boxes while working on upper GI issues. My bones and I are going round and round. We have a love/hate relationship and I’m finding common ground to make my body work for me since my spirit and heart are taking the lead! I appreciate you so much! I continue praying for you both, too! 💕🙏🏻

      1. Thank you Karla.

      2. You’re welcome ☺️

  9. We do have a farmers market in my neck of the woods.. it’s every Saturday and it’s wonderful

  10. A good post on many levels.
I’m thankful you get days like that Karla. you are sure leaning into life, into God’s life in you.

    1. How are you, Gary? I pray for you, your wife, and daughter. I know how BUSY you are and I appreciate your support and prayers. “leaning into life, into God’s life in you.” I love that! Thank you. It’s so completely miraculous to live this way. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I pray daily for you all!

      1. Thanks for your prayers as well Karla.
Aside from our planned busyness, we are entering a season of medical procedures with our daughter. How much remains to be seen. Too soon to know. It will be MRI Monday for her and will know more in October when all the data talked through and…well you know how these things can go or not go. In the old days she would not be here so every day is a gift.

      2. I wrote these specifics in my prayer journal, Gary. It’s my blessing to pray. May this season provide continued healing and comfort. And solutions for new issues. Gary, there’s not a day I don’t think about it being a gift to be here. I know exactly what you mean. If I’m going to be given the gift of more time, I best not waste it! Many prayers, my friend. 🙏🏻

  11. Thoughts and prayers often.  I particularly loved the jfk quote !  Love you bunches!!!!

    1. Thank you so much my sweet friend! Love you oodles!!! 💕💕

      1. “I’m using wisdom to walk and reality to rest”-
“For me, It’s God or nothing”-
Quotes from my twin; words that flow like the best song ever written. Mousie, I want to take all of this and put it in a book. Memoirs of running a race you’ve already won. You inspire me. God has touched you in a way that is indescribable. My eyes are burney with tears!!! 🥹 Your memories are my favorite. I love you. ❤️ 🙏

      2. I love you so much. Thank you, thank you. You’ll have these words in a book, I pray. Sooner, than later. Even more so, our words are forever in our hearts; cemented in our souls! Your support means everything to me! I’m proud of you. This journey isn’t just mine. Look at how we’re growing. I love you so much. 💕 🫶🏻🙏🏻🤟🏻👭👭👭

  12. You did it, Karla. Oh so very wonderful, my friend.

    1. Mark, I thought of you when Mizzou Tiger came out and we were walking around stadium. Also, there were Royal fans in front of us and we had some fun with the young men (my son definitely did!). It felt so good to be on a field! I’ll see the Springfield Baby Birds soon! Thank you for your support, my friend!

      1. Always, Karla. It’s so great to see you appreciating what you love.

      2. Thank you my friend!!

  13. Karla, it sounds like you enjoyed a weekend straight from Heaven! You spent it with some of the people you love and you had fun from start to finish. Finn too!

I hope and pray you will have more of these weekends for years to come. For an all around good time for everyone, what’s better than a Farmer’s Market? It’s been a long time since I went to one, but this sure brought back some happy memories.

We all have more things to be thankful for than we acknowledge. But you always manage, no matter what’s going on in your life, to count your blessings. Yes, there’s a special place in Heaven for you and Finn!

As always, sending love and prayers and smiles. Hoping you find laughter every day and sweet Miss Finley finds an unexpected treat! Ginger

    1. I’m so happy to see you, Ginger 🥰 I love and appreciate your creative compliments~they come straight from your huge heart! I try SO hard to find the good! It’s an HOURLY practice! I don’t sleep well and this morning I thought, “Had I felt this way LAST Friday I don’t know if ai could’ve gone.” BUT, Ginger, God always makes it work. He prepares the way before I go, and me! So now, I can rest and marinate on the memories! I’ve been giggling this morning~there’s a local morning show I watch (they even invited me to talk about my cancer once) and they were all “off the rails” this morning and being silly. I couldn’t help but start laughing. With many years of practice, I can shift my mindset pretty fast! Giggles help! I will think of something different for Finn for a treat. She really has been such a great companion. Each day she’s sweeter and sweeter. She just knows! It’s not the same as hugging my kids and grandkids, but it sure is a comfort! We’re sending you love, hugs, and prayers, sweet Ginger!! 💕🙏🏻🥰💛

  14. Karla, your heartwarming post has me teary-eyed on this early Friday morning. Your trip to visit youngest son and family touched every emotion. Every moment was packed with memories for a lifetime. I love farmers’ markets and my sweet daddy is a big Cardinals fan.

You are always in my prayers, sweet friend 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Sending love and hugs ♥️🤗🎶

    1. Pam, I can see you sweet Daddy sitting and sipping iced tea, cheering on the Cardinals! My Dad is too. I literally grew up on a ball field and Stan Musial was his favorite! ❤️
I’m so glad you found this heartwarming~I knew you’d love these times! I’m always amazed how God takes care of things. The timing, activities, events, …everything! Please tell Butch I’m praying for him and you as you do me. I love you! 💕🙏🏻💐

  16. What a lovely post, full of so many things to bring smiles. Thank you for including a bit of Charlotte’s Web.

    1. Thank you, Jennie! I though you’d like that part!! I was even singing the song writing it! You make my heart smile, Jennie!💕💕🎶

      1. You are welcome! Smile your heart away!! 😍

      2. 😃💕💓

  17. “For me, it’s God or nothin.” That is the secret right there. And yet, it’s no secret at all! Thank you for being so open about your divine gratitude and joy in the midst of the hardest stuff. Your testimony is true and real and inviting. Bless you, my precious friend!💚

    1. Mama, thank you for sharing such precious thoughts and kindness. You are an example of someone who “sings” praises through it all! I have to thank God for giving me strength to keep praising in the peaceful and painful times! I look back and things make sense to me now~which makes me praise him more because he was there the whole time and waited for me to be “ready” for the great reveal. Mama, I’m formatting my testimony. I didn’t quite know how it was going to “look” but I have some ideas now. Thank you for praying for me, supporting,…encouraging…it’s so precious to me! Bless you and yours,my friend! 💚🙏🏻

      1. From here through eternity, Karla… friends forever and sisters in Jesus. <3

      2. Yes, Mama! I love that, sister!❤️

  18. I like to “paddle with the possibilities” with God as my navigator.

    1. Pam, I see you doing that! You are a prime example of never giving up and finding opportunities! 💕💕💕🙏🏻

  19. The “everyday” is most beautiful through your eyes, Karla. I’m short on time this week but always make time for you. Thank you as always for helping me see more clearly and love Him more dearly. Love to you from across the miles.

    1. To make time for me is very humbling, my friend. Your precious and soulful spirit is felt through your words and love. I love you and thank you again. 💕🙏🏻

  21. Karla! This post was so fun to read! You had such an interesting day – I can hardly grasp a visit to the farmer’s market, the fair and a ball game!! I love the local 4-H fair and all the animals – especially the rabbits and goats. We haven’t been to a minor league baseball game this year but perhaps this coming week – the South Bend Cubs have a few home games left and next Tuesday is “Tail waggin’ Tuesday” where you can bring your dog to the ballpark to enjoy the game and get free “doggie ice cream”! I do love a good Farmer’s Market. Ours is getting sparse since they increased the cost for a stall. We are headed to the Amish market next week and will check their produce – they generally have cauliflower bigger than your head and huge cabbages too. I’m going to bring this news to the prayer warriors. I love you!

    1. It’s so good to see you, Val! I’m so sorry I’ve been MIA at your place. I love the farmer’s market~big or small! It’s sad the costs are minimizing things; but the cauliflower heads and cabbages sound huge! And the Tail Waggin’ Tuesday sounds fun! Aw, Mochi~you deserve an ice cream! I’m going to receive news on Monday, Tuesday at the latest, that could be a complete game changer. I’ll bring it here as soon as I know. Give the prayer warriors my love and hugs! I love you, my friend!🙏🏻💕🐾

  22. Alas the poor Royals. They have a few great seasons and spend years in the cellar of the league. Quite the contrast with the Cardinals.

I am glad you are getting out and about little sister even if it is at a Farmer’s Market which I equate with my least favorite activity of shopping lol

    1. Thank you, brother! I’m so happy when I’m able to get out and enjoy life. It’s worth it! I take advantage of these times and count my blessings! This year the Cardinals are struggling~but I really do enjoy the MO teams. When I was little I loved watching George Brett and the Royals ~but grew up mainly Cardinals fan. How do you choose? I say, “Go, Missouri!” Tee hee. I giggled at your shopping comment. I do understand that!! Lol

  23. You will always be in my prayers!

    1. Thank you, Ann! And you as well!

  24. The path with God is always the right path. I love Farmer Markets, so much life, so much colour. Definitely always a mini adventure ❤️❤️❤️

    1. You are a wise and gracious friend! It always warms my heart to see you!! Thank you! Sending love and prayers to you two daily!🙏🏻❤️

  25. Oh my precious friend. Love the happiness that exudes from this post. So happy for you and the way God keeps shining down his light and love on you to remind you that He Cares! ❤
Yay on the frog and guppies, who can resist a 3 year old. 😉
Much love and prayers to you and excitement builds in me too for you as well and God’s miracles! ❤❤❤❤

    1. Joy, your enthusiasm has me singing our song 🎶 ain’t no way, otherwise! I’m so glad you see the light through me. I try! And on my “dim” days I best pause, pray, and plug in! 🥴
Oh, the 2, 3, and 4 year olds in my life are pure light and joy, too! I can’t resist! Things are looking way up, Joy! I can’t wait to share! God is opening doors and continuously working. Your love and prayers are appreciated and reciprocated! 💕🙏🏻🥰🎶💛🦓

      1. 😍🥰 Praying that God keeps opening those doors! Yes, keep singing! I am too! Love you girl! And I am sure those little ones are so blessed by you, as well! 😊

      2. The door opened last night–I RAN THROUGH IT! I’m so thankful that the National Cancer Institute is helping me. Your kind words above, and always, are special. Thank you, my friend. I wish you peace and JOY, always JOY! Love you! 💕💕💕🎶🎶🎶

  26. Karla; My apologies that it took so long to sit down and read your post. I always want to make sure I have a clear calendar (and mind) to devote to your thoughts and lately I haven’t had much of either.

Thank YOU for your thankfulness and for helping the rest of us see the beauty in farmer’s markets, state fairs, and baseball games… although I would have been proudly wearing blue at that particular contest.

I am so excited to hear about the “possible breakthrough” you alluded to. Sounds exciting. You already know, though, that no matter what happens, God’s got you. Right where he wants you.

    Blessings;

    Russell B.

    1. Russell, how kind and thoughtful that you take time to read my thoughts. Thank you. It’s humbling. I feel that way of your words. I’m glad you enjoyed this! Also, I did have on baby blue Cardinals shirt, lol. I’m a Royals fan, too! But,…
The breakthrough~I got the answer and will share with everyone soon when more details are given! You are right! And wise! God has me right where he wants me~and has prepared something else. It gives me peace, even in the midst of the unknowns! It’s good to see you and I pray you and Joan are well!🙏🏻🙂

  27. Thank you for taking us along through the wonderful places you enjoyed with such special people beside you. 💕 By the grace of God may there be a multitude of more to come…very soon!!😊

    1. Dawn, it so good to see you.I believe! Miracles are happening now! Thank you for going along with us. It means so much! I hope you and yours are well, my friend 🙏🏻💕

  28. “The timing always works because I’m completely and utterly dependent on God. I’m using wisdom to walk and reality to rest. Future trips are planned, and miracles are working in the background.” This is pure gold, Karla.

    1. Mitch, how gracious and kind! That means so much to me, dear friend! Thank you for your support, guidance, and encouragement!

  29. Amen! God is good. The most faithful to us as we journey through this life we have been given. Keep on keeping on being awesome. Your encouragement to continue even in the face of trials is a blessing, even as you face the trials of your own with a heart full of love and faith. 🧡🙏

    1. Thank you, dear friend. I hope and pray you and yours are well! I’m so happy I’m of encouragement; I don’t always feel I am! I give all glory to God! Hamish, I’ll be gone for a while as I have a life-changing surgery coming up on Nov. 1st. It may take a couple of months to heal (But I’ll write way before that!). I’ll be giving God EVEN more praise–I know you do the same! God bless you my friend! Many blessings as you share your faith and love! 💛🙏
