Well said dear lady, we all do bloom at our own time. Just like that flower you spoke of, we are all different in type, color, shape, scent and what we give out…but all are magnificent in just being ourselves. Do we expect a flower or bird or insect to ‘be’ anything? Of course not, so we must learn to not project our fears and expectations onto others too. Beautiful post, thank you for sharing your heartfelt garden ๐ โค๏ธ ๐๐ฝ ๐ฆ
โDo we expect a flower or bird or insect to โbeโ anything?โ~Mark, what a great thought! I appreciate your words and support so much! ๐ชด๐ฟ๐๐๐ป
Beautiful concepts and inspiring ideas to noodle over Karla, thank you. I love, “permit the rain and the sun,” C
C, thank you so much. ๐๐ชด Itโs good to see you and I appreciate your support and words. I will visit you too! ๐ค~K
Karla, I love the poem and always enjoy your thoughts. Wishing you a beauty-filled day ๐
Thank you, Pam; likewise ๐. Have a blessed day!
All a part of the beautiful bouquet, blooming or not, you are so right Karla!
Lovely words, lovely you! Peaceful day dear friend, Eddie
Aw, thank you my dear friend! Peace to you and yours, Eddie!
This is beautifully written. It makes me think about why I unplugged from social media “temporarily,” and it’s been about six weeks and I really DON’T miss any of it, especially “Fakebook.” If someone wants to reach out, they can take five extra minutes to call me directly! (No one has reached out [so much for being “loved”] !) Eventually, I will have to sign back on for work-related reasons. Ugh!
Stacy, thank you for your kind words and support! Friends, if youโre reading this response go to Stacyโs website now! You are an inspiration for so many reasons. I left Facebook in June 2018. I donโt miss it. I understand I could sneak on there so I could see pics of my grandkids and family. We have our ways of communicating. And Iโm not going down a rabbit hole of things that just donโt grow my soul. I love entertainment; but social media is a sticky wicket. Itโs taken all I have to start an authorโs IG while learning new software for writing. I have a handful of friends that call. I love it! Life isnโt any busier these days than they were 20 years ago. I look back and donโt know how I had the energy to do all the driving to class in person, classes, daily face to face, keeping up with my familyโฆwe did it because it was priority and we knew nothing different. Social Media has made us lazy communicators. Emojis replace words, technology replaces dialogue. Iโm all for learning and growing~just not platforms of hate and dissension. My email is finleyriverpublishing@gmail.com. Iโd love to chat (Iโll give you my rotary number..I mean cell)about your AWARD ๐ฅ! I canโt wait to hear all about it. Thank you for being such a lovely human in this space! You are supported and loved. ๐
Love the thought of the soul growing whole to fully bloom, and being part of God’s bouquet with you. <3
Thank you so much, Laura. I appreciate your support and feel the same way about you. ๐ธ๐ผ๐
Excellent poem and post! Comparing ourselves to others is a negative outcome almost all of the time – I only compare myself to who I am and who I want to become. That is, am I doing better today than yesterday? How can I improve myself? These are the questions that allow for growth in a positive way!
Valerie, thank you so much for your wise thoughts and support, โฆalways! ๐๐ค
Amen sis!! โฅ๏ธ I adore your poem and the beautifully written words that accompanied it.
You are so right. It is very easy to compare and find ourselves either thinking weโre ahead or behind. The truth is – the more behind we become because instead of running our own race, we watch someone achieve theirs. Thatโs tragic.
Sending loads of love to you. Praying each of us find healing, wholeness and joy in our own story. ๐๐ผ
Thank you so much, Holly, for your sweet words of encouragement. Iโm sending loads of love right back and hope you and yours are doing well! I love your last sentence. Perfect. ๐๐๐๐ป๐ค
What a wonderful blessing to know that God has an amazing future planned for each of us. Weโre all unique yet part of his family because of his unconditional love.โค๏ธ
Such a beautiful truth dear Kathy. We are all unique and he loves us all, despite ourselves. โค๏ธ
K.L., your words are heavenly! Peace and love!๐
Aww, thank you so much my friend. Peace and love to you too. โค๏ธ
And to you!!โฅ๏ธ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐

beautiful poem on growth Karla! ๐
Thank you so much, Cindy! โค๏ธ๐๐ค
Karla, thanks for sharing some timely encouragement. Your words refill my tank with some special reminders. Most importantly, “faith” is fueled up. Blessings.
Youโre welcome! And thank you, Richard, for your support. Iโm so glad my words resonated with your faith too!
I’m definitely leaning-in!!๐โค๏ธ๐
I’m definitely living this out in my present season of life. Both sides at different times.
Remembering God’s reminder that life is not a race, that the race I am running with Him is different to everyone else’s, and that’s ok.
At other times, struggling to abandon the pain if the word “should.” There will always be destinations we feel we could have been at by now “if only we’d…” but that lives into the neverending to-do lists we can find ourselves shackled by.
God helps us to stop, listen to Him, and lay it all down at the feet of Jesus.
Amen, Hamish. What a beautiful and wise response. Peace and blessings to you. ๐
what a beautiful poem. Iโm reminded of my Day Lilies, as they often bloom. ๐๐ป
I SEE the Day lilies and I thank you for your love and support. This is reminding me of words I wrote so long ago, that still hold truth today. I need to repost some of these! I appreciate you! ๐ธ๐โฃ๏ธ
