Hallowed History

History is fascinating~documentaries, books, museums, and movies~I’m completely and constantly curious. This weekend, filled with family and special memories, ended reflecting on those we’ve lost. Remembrance is more than a once-a-year. It’s revolving and repetitive.

Positions and postures held today should hopefully reflect what we’ve learned from our history. We can’t change it.


Can we accept the fact we’ve all fallen at times ~individually and at times, collectively~in our work places, our homes, our counties, our states, …and as a country?


Can we lift the living that have fallen? Can we manifest miracles for all those marginalized?


Can we remember those that died for the belief in new beginnings?

May our mission magnify mercy. May it become monumental.

    I believe also as much as we would like to rewrite the past in our minds we can’t & as Mark so eloquently stated we must live each day with no regrets. Maybe if we just look back at those who passed before us with only love & respect we will make those better decisions. Special tribute to all those that serve &have served &the loved ones who were there for them.🇺🇸

  6. Well said, Karla. Our history so often reflects our future. We don’t always learn from past mistakes and tend to fall into the same traps over and over again, but through God’s Word and His history of humanity in the Bible, we can be confident of our future. Great words.

    1. Thank you so much. I was once trapped in a revolving door of insecurity. I dropped all boundaries in trying to understand what real love is~the love you have for yourself is hidden in the deep love given by God alone. He doesn’t rewrite history~but is there to guide us in our future as you so eloquently shared. Your faith is always an encouragement, Kathy. Stay safe and blessed~both of you! ❤️💚💛

  14. Every person is worthy of time. It’s something we can often forget to offer ourselves when we need it. Something I am learning and relearning many times over, particularly so in the past two years.
