Happy International Women’s Day

For the woman I call Mom, the women I call sisters, the women I call daughter-in-law, the women I call aunts, the women I call cousins, the women I call friends, the women I’ve never met. For every woman. You are loved. 💛

    1. Can you help me understand? I believe if we’re celebrating rights, whether civil, social, political, or religious, and in different parts of our world, and the accomplishment of women, then that’s my celebration 🥰

      1. I agree 💯! Thank you for this thoughtful response and support. I do recognize the distance we have to go. I just chose, in my post, to recognize women,…not our equality or lack thereof, but what achievements have made that have impacted my reality today. For my granddaughters,…may we keep bridging the gap. I appreciate you! 💕

Celebrating women! I’m glad to be a woman, and I celebrate YOU Karla. You are a hero to so many. You are kind and thoughtful. You always think of others first. You are fiercely strong, resilient even on your worst days, have a great sense of humor, and manage to stay optimistic in the worst of times. And as though that isn’t enough, you are beautiful, inside and out!

Yeah, I applaud you my friend. Even the “Fat Lady” is applauding you, which isn’t easy for her since I still have my foot in her mouth so she can’t sing. Lol!

You could be the poster girl for International Women’s Day.

Keep the faith Karla. Hugs to sweet Miss Finley. Ginger

      1. Thank you kind ladies, gratefully received and appreciated. I too am very grateful in suffering a coffee by the beach this morning while watching the locals enjoying the surf. And I think Fin would have loved the bush turkeys wandering around the barbecue areas trying to steal a morsel or two as well. Take care, much surf energy coming your way 🤣❤️🙏🏽

      2. Mark, that just sounds miserable!! 🤔😂😂😆 thank you for suffering for us! I’m sure Finn would’ve taken “flight” quickly to say hi to the turkeys! I’m sipping my coffee and sending “waves”!! Hugs! 💕🙏🏻🤗

      1. Hmm,…🤔💕 how many women, after 8 decades, can share they’ve busted the glass you have and have seen the changes? Thank you for paving the way! 🥰💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

  2. Karla, celebrating the journey women have taken to get us where we are is one very important part of the day. The other half of the celebration is looking at what is yet to be done and holding up each other on the walk into the future… Happy international Women’s day!

  4. Happy Thursday (a.k.a. “Friday Eve” to those still working). That quote from Mother Teresa is always piercing to me, challenging me to be more of a bearer of Christ’s love for everyone I meet. The Anne Frank quote is new to me, and powerful. That young girl had a sense of eternity about her, one that is evident in these words. The ultimate truth of what she stated is fully realized only in the eternal realm.

Great post, Karla. As usual. Thanks! Nice hat, too!

    1. Thank you, Tim! It took me longer to choose my quotes than to create the post on Canva. I appreciate your feedback. Anne Frank,…sense of eternity…yes! I always enjoy your words and thoughts, my friend. And thank you for the hat compliment! I’ve loved hats for many many years. I choose hats AND happiness! A great combo! Stay safe and blessed!

    1. I’ll take the girl power and hugs any day, Marcela! Thank you for reading and your kind thoughts and support! I’m taking it one day at a time…one hour at a time…some days, one minute at a time! I’ll have several hours of “minimal” pain, a couple of doozie hours, some nights great sleep, other nights, not much. It probably describes the life of most of us! I appreciate your well wishes and support, my friend.

    1. Aww, Pam! Thank you for noticing that. 🥰 my thought is that being a child of God is the best credential I could obtain! You could throw in a dash of confusion with it, too. I know how compassionate you are! You’re a wonderful woman, my friend! Thank you for your support and cheerleading! 💕🙏🏻🥰
