Karla, these photos all reflect tranquility, love, and something wonderful to look forward to.

I could look at the Black Hills Nature Gates forever. Amazing,

The puppy, I call all dogs of any age or size “puppy”, is so darn sweet I want to smother him/her in kisses. He brings you great joy I have no doubt. And I think a lot of laughs too!

The first photo just beckons you to come and sit down. Relax. Leave your troubles outside the gate and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you here.

Hope this day finds you feeling well, or at least ok. Feeling like you wanted to do a 25 mile marathon would be outstanding, but I guess that’s stretching it a bit! Rest and recuperate from this latest round of chemo. It’s gonna take time to recharge your batteries. But recharge you will!

Keep taking good care of yourself. You have a lot of people praying that you return to a state of good health and stay there.

Any time you want, as often as you want, you can email me at: furtzmagurgle@gmail.com. Would love to hear from you…..when you feel up to it.

    1. Ginger, what a beautiful response. I’ve read it twice just to soak it in. Today is a good day. I’m taking it hour by hour. And now, only two more nights and Inhave a chemo break. I did it again! It takes several days to tolerate the chemo. Some good, some tougher. But it’s in the small moments, the pictures, the memories, accomplishing tasks around my home, …yes, they seem “small” now, but I’ve crammed a lot of life in my years and keep planning for more in the future. I love the Black Hills so much. Perhaps that year I took out with Finnie to see the boys and their families, and all the landscapes and beautiful places, was just a way God said, “you’re safe with me…go!” And now I feel safe, too. I enjoyed my coffee this morning outside early~as a friend sent me~birds singing, a cooler breeze, not feeling nauseous (lol),…I’ll not a moment for granted. And rest and recharge like I have this afternoon. Also,”puppies” get me~I love them all. Finley celebrated her 5th bday quietly with Momma. She’s quirky and precious. A lot of change for her and she’s handling it well I think. She’s my snuggle buddy as I await more times to snuggle the grands! If you were here she’d definitely be giving kisses back!! Thank you for the email (I love the name!😁) and for the precious support and prayers! YOU take care, too! 💛✨🙏🏻

  2. I love it! Especially the picture of Finley and the turtle. These images are very “peace-making” which we all need a lot more of these days. Thank you for sharing them so generously.

How is it with your soul today? I pray for peace and comfort for you.

    1. Hi, Russell! I bet I’ve missed some posts of yours 🙃. Fin was so cute trying to play with the turtle. And the groundhog, Chuck, who now resides in the bluff where he belongs. I’m glad you enjoyed these! I have about 22,000 pics on my phone ~I was thinking of doing Monday Memories each week as I’m trying to form words on my journey. Pics can say it all! I know words will be in my heart at times. Today has been a very good day. I see the light at the end of this treatment tunnel~…for this month. 4-5 days out of the 14 seems to be an average. Fatigue at certain times. BUT,…I’m finding my ways to manage and take care of the little things that are the big things! Current thought: “It is Well with my Soul” (my favorite song 🎶 ). Your prayers are felt and appreciated. I reciprocate!

    1. Aww, thank you, John! My featured image was one year ago today when I climbed a lookout tower on a trail. Finn got a trim yesterday (well, front and back done~middle left to do, lol). Thank you for your kind comments and visit! 😊

All places of the heart dear lady, and maybe your journey is asking you to place your heart in His care for a while…well, forever makes it so much more peaceful 😀❤️ Maybe He’ll come sit at your coffee spot and share His strength in that love within you. 5. Karla, your photos beckon me to come and sit beside you. Our Father offers His peace if we only, “Be still and know that He is God” and sit at His feet and rest. I know that is what you are doing and seeing you on this hard journey and your faith in God is so inspiring. Sending love, hugs and prayers 💛💛🤗🤗🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️♥️

      1. I am missing teacher planning days but may make it back for students’ first day Wednesday, especially since my fever broke overnight. 😊 Sadly, my baby girl is back in town for her two-week college break but is starting with a friend until it’s safe here. 😢 My mom and sister got it too, as well as all of our visiting relatives. Mom is just down to a soar throat though. 🙏🏻

      2. Laura, you have so much going on. I’m sorry to hear your daughter is away, but praying she gets to you soon! I’m so happy your fever broke. And glad to hear everyone is on the mend. I’ll continue praying for all of you! Kids here don’t start until the 23rd. Teachers go back next week. Sending love and prayers my sweet friend. 💕🙏🏻

  7. Sometimes a few words find a way to embrace our heart in a way no essay ever could. Stopping to be present. To look at the beauty around us. To realise the beauty Good has brought to life within us. These are magical moments. Fully real, but absolutely magical.

    Thank you for you. 🧡
