At the Polls

I’m pleased to share our community passed a bond that will make a huge difference, not only for our school, but all of us. A new technical school to replace our amazing old one, updates to a Primary school that are long overdue, and a community park! Walking trails, pickle ball, playground equipment for everyone,..it’s a win/win! 75%? The community spoke!

Have faith 💛

    1. Yes!!! What’s so neat for our kids and families (which is interesting~our district includes the townships of 6 small places) is they no longer will have to drive to Branson to find a nice place to picnic and hang out with their family! I first came to this district 21 years ago (and have moved multiple times) and since my return the need was still there. Living near one of the top family destinations makes for more interesting dynamics,Pam. This is a place where the socioeconomic statuses lie at both extreme ends of the spectrum!

  1. Way to go, Community! I bet they also had to vote to increase their own taxes, didn’t they? It’s amazing what a little sacrifice can accomplish.

    1. Hi Russell! Thank you! Yes, yay! Last year they DID vote a tax increase. This bond is a NO tax increase! But I can share that the tax raises seem to show much evidence of great outcomes at the school! 💪🏻🙌🏻

    1. Thank you, John. Our community is very interesting. It is made up of 6 small communities. When I made a career move here 20 years ago I was shocked at the extreme ends of the spectrum in regards to socioeconomic status. We are close to a tourist area. We have those in lake homes and others in rural settings. It’s always amazing to see a vote like this! My little community has a new mayor. Tradition oozes in this area. Those who moved in as transplants make up a good portion of our population, too. It’s THEIR home as well! All in all, it’s super refreshing when the majority agrees. A win-win indeed! Thanks for stopping by, John and your lovely comment! 😊
